When it has to be at a push…

…particularly nutrition rich in protein is a real challenge to most people with a job.

Myself, I am on the go since I can remember. I have rarely experienced longer terms of "normal" daily routine. To be well subsisted means to deal with the preparation of meals at a high priority.

We would be having little fun and feel pretty annoyed if we had to deal with cooking, dish washing and wrapping our meals for a longer time than for the actual eating.

Therefore a good protein shake is a permanent feature of my food shelf just like other people have sugar and flour in their storage.

The protein shake (protein is derived from the Greek "proteno" meaning "in the first place", which tells us already a lot about the necessity of amino acid) is a time saving alternative, quick to prepare, practical to carry and especially a tasty snack in between. It can replace a whole meal once and a while.

Meaningful applied after workout it is the perfect meal supplying your muscles with the above mentioned amino acids (the module for your fat burning muscular system).

Since it is available in powder form, it is convenient to carry it in a shaker. You just need to get some milk or water underway and mix it and in no time you receive a valuable meal. Excuses concerning time can't be brought forward anymore.

Whenever there is time for it there is a variety of more complex recipes for protein powder.

Except for the time after workout I hardly drink pure shakes. I prefer integrating the powder into different recipes to enhance my meals. My standard breakfast

looks like this:

"Good Morning" = 1 cup oat flakes, 1 tablespoon protein powder e.g. peach & passion fruit, 1 tablespoon linseed, 125 g natural yoghurt, 1 dash of water and

½ Granny Smith apple.

  • Energy for the whole day
  • Dietary fibre is beneficial to a healthy gut flora where your immune system is located
  • Dietary fibre is beneficial to a steady blood sugar level
  • Amino acid is beneficial to the immune system, hormones, enzymes, skin, hair, fingernails, tissue and to the formation and preservation of fat burning musculature
  • Good fats (omega 3) are beneficial to hinder internal inflammations of your body

Eating is a question of taste! My opinion is that a meal has to be tasty. If eating is not a pleasure anymore, it is called diet.

"Pimp your Food!"

Sincerely, Peter.
